Mills CNC has appointed John Morning as its business manager in Scotland.

Aged 51 and resident in East Kilbride with his family, he has over 22 years' experience in the machine tool industry and has held a number of senior sales positions in leading machine tool companies over the years, the most recent being that of sales manager (Scotland) at C Dugard Ltd.

Says Morning: "Mills CNC is a dynamic and successful company. The depth and breadth of its Doosan machine tool range is second to none, and its business approach based on technical excellence and providing unrivalled customer service and support is well documented and, in my experience, is the best in the business.

"Scotland is a strategically important region for Mills with a growing number of precision component manufacturers, from OEMs through to precision subcontractors, investing in Doosan machine tool technologies year on year.

"I am looking forward to the challenge of growing sales and of increasing Mills' market share in Scotland still further.

"With a number of new Doosan machine tools we will be introducing into the market over the next few months, including the new range of large capacity Puma lathes and new range of compact horizontal borers, I am confident that 2015 will be another landmark year for Mills."
