With 335 units delivered and sales at the £35 million mark, Mills Manufacturing Technology has reported a record performance in 2007.
In July 2007, following consolidations with the Doosan Group, the Leamington Spa-based company became the exclusive distributor of Doosan Infracore machine tools in the UK and Ireland. The year saw shipments from Korea top the 350 mark for the first time, a performance that has received wide acclaim in Korea.
“Our growth and performance in 2007 has been nothing short of sensational,” said managing director Mike Jenkins. “At the beginning of the year we set ourselves ambitious stretch targets - and I’m delighted to say that all of these targets have been met and soundly beaten.
“Since 2003 we have experienced year-on-year double-digit growth which has not only seen sales rocket from £17.7 million to the current levels, but has also seen the number of units delivered increase from 212 in 2005, through to the 335 achieved in 2007.
“With many exciting new Doosan machines being launched at the MACH 2008 exhibition in April - and more sales, marketing and customer service innovations planned for the year – we are confident that 2008 will be another great year for the company.”
