Mid Bucks Machine Tools appointed ROMI agent for the south of England

Mid Bucks Machine Tools has been appointed ROMI machine tools' sales agent for the south of England. ROMI has been represented in the UK for a number of years, with several installations in operation.
The Brazil-built ROMI range takes in turning and milling machines - manual and manual/CNC combination lathes, CNC turning centres and vertical machining centres.
Large capacity CNC flat bed lathes up to 2.5 m swing by 12 m between centres along with vertical turning lathes with capacities from 2 m to 7 m turning diameter complete the range. In all, some 150 model variants are available, with machines tailored to a customers' production requirements available.
ROMI builds all its machine tools from design stage to manufacturing, with all major components manufactured in house. Where possible all other components are sourced from European suppliers to ensure compatibility and continuity of supply. CNC control systems from Siemens and Fanuc are employed across the range, with these adapted and specified to meet the demands of ROMI and its customers.
UK sales and service is supported from the 4,000 sq m head quarters of Sandretto UK in Rugby, Warwickshire, part of the ROMI Group.
Following its participation at MACH 2012 this year, ROMI is expanding its presence in the UK and European machine tool markets.
