Yamazaki Mazak has expanded its service team with the appointment of eight new service engineers.

The latest intake includes two additional in-house engineers, who will work to co-ordinate the daily activities of the field-based specialist team.

The support team out in the field has also grown, with Mazak employing an additional member for both the install team and the planned service team, as well as taking on four new engineers for the breakdown team.

Among the recent developments, Mazak has appointed Andy Critcher as UK service manager, where he is responsible for overseeing the manufacturer’s installation and service packages, as well as maintenance support and sourcing of spare parts.

Says Alan Mucklow, managing director UK and Ireland, sales division: “There is much more to Yamazaki Mazak than simply manufacturing and selling machines. It’s just as important to have the infrastructure behind the products to support our customers and ensure they reach the full capacity of their machine’s capabilities.

“This expansion to our service team marks Mazak’s ongoing dedication to service and maintenance, and we plan to continue to grow in this way to ensure we fully support our customers throughout the operational lifetime of their machines, whether they have one Mazak, or twenty.”
