Master Abrasives has appointed several team leaders to support and ensure efficient running of the company’s departments. Paul Batson, managing director, explains the newly devised approach: “The introduction of team leaders in chosen departments will give us a more defined structure and ensure that clarity is maintained for all, especially when the manager of the team is not on-site.”

The stores department team leader will be Danny McBride, who has been working at Master Abrasives for eight years. McBride has a good understanding of the company’s processes and will lead his team in ensuring customers continue to get their orders delivered next-day where possible.

Paul Bowhill has been working in the production department for eight years and has an excellent knowledge of manufacturing Master’s abrasive belts and Masterflex products. Bowhill will become team leader for the production department, with the continued objective of achieving the highest quality conversion rate in the quickest time possible for customer orders.

Stephanie Hanson has been working at Master Abrasives for three years and was originally working in the production of Masterflex abrasives. In May 2016, Hanson joined the tool services department as an administrator and has played a major role in providing customers with assistance and answering queries. These skills make her a good fit to head up the tool services administrative team as commercial team leader.

Dave Grice returned to work at Master Abrasives when he came back to the UK five years ago, having previously worked as the company’s stores supervisor. Grice is currently working in the tool service department among a team of technicians who carry out power tool repair and services. He has a good knowledge of power tools, repairs and services, which will make him a good technical team leader for this department.

Having joined the customer service department three years ago, Kelly Warrington has been a key team member for technical products and some of Master Abrasives’ newer initiatives, such as grinding machines. Warrington’s extensive product knowledge will be invaluable as the customer service team strives to continually satisfy customer needs.

“Of course, every member of the Master team is key to our continued success and plays a vital role in achieving our overall goals,” concludes Batson. “I believe the addition of team leaders to our organisation will make us more efficient and structured, and help prepare us for our continued growth and success in 2019 and beyond.”
