MACH 2014 - Starrag’s show of force

Starrag UK will show just how big its offering of machines is at MACH.

The company trades under the brands of Berthiez, Bumotec, Dörries, Droop + Rein, Heckert, Scharmann, SIP and adaptive machining solutions from TTL. Its Heckert machining centres are proving popular, especially effective for sub-contract and general machining applications. Pictured here is Heckert's HEC 400 D. The firm has also just brought out a new Heckert H/V (horizontal/vertical) continuous swivel head for five-axis machining in a single set-up. Starrag Group makes and sells many different milling, turning, boring and grinding machines to all industry sectors, in particular aerospace, transport, energy and mould and die. In addition, Starrag Group offers servicing and machine retrofit. The firm places emphasis on creating customised solutions across the brands of machines it makes so it can "enable users to be more productive, efficient, accurate and innovative". The Starrag Group, in its entirety, recently reported a high level of order intake and revenues slightly up year-on-year. In 2013 the Group said it acquired new business worth CHF 425 million, corresponding to a growth of 17 %. See them in Hall 5 on Stand 5078.
