1 min read

NCMT is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its formation this year and will be taking three stands at MACH.

The company will exhibit CNC lathes and a Makino vertical machining centre, a mill-turn centre from Okuma and an Okamoto grinder. The PS95 – a vertical-spindle, 3-axis machining centre – will have it s debut in the UK for the first time, as NCMT is the sole agent for Makino. Another machine making its UK debut will be the Okuma 5-axis vertical-spindle mill-turn centre, designated MU-6300V-L. This has a working volume of 925 by 1,050 by 600 mm. The machine is designed to accept large workpieces up to 830 mm diameter, 550 mm in height and weighing 600 kg. Okuma's L250 model from the early-entry Genos range of machine tools will be there too as will the 18.5 tonne Multus U4000-1SW mill-turn centre with B-axis turret and 22 kW counter-spindle. Finally, Okamoto's ACC64CA-iQ surface grinding machine will be running at the show. Vibration and deflection is said to be minimal even when running with a 1 tonne workpiece on the table. The machine on show will be fitted with the new Okamoto iQ touch-screen control and its software. See the machines in Hall 5 on Stands 5320 and 5328 and the tools on Stand 5058.
