MACH 2010 - Nine9 tooling starter kits sell well for ACT

The Nine9 series of cutting tools from Advanced Carbide Tooling (ACT) generated numerous credit cards sales at MACH 2010. The Nine9 range of indexable cutting tools allow the end user to interchange a wide variety of inserts and grades with a single toolholder.

On its stand, the Hinckley-based company was offering visitors starter kits for spotting, chamfering, engraving and corner rounding included a toolholder, indexable inserts and a torx key. Reflecting on the show, ACT's director, Craig Wieland, said: "Since MACH 2008, the Nine9 Series has developed considerably. At MACH 2010, we were consolidating current customers by providing new solutions for their current tool holders and creating an awareness of what is now available. We also received extremely positive feedback from customers that have reduced their tooling inventory with the Nine9 series. "We had a number of visitors to our stand that were looking for solutions and new inserts for specific tasks, and, with the Nine9, we could efficiently meet these demands with our continually increasing and evolving range. "With a cutting tool series that has evolved to offer engraving, chamfering, grooving, spotting, centre drilling, counter-sinking, corner rounding, facing and turning with a single toolholder; it is no surprise that the show brought us a significant number of quality leads from companies not on our radar. It also enabled us to win new business from current customers unaware of the new developments on offer. This proved an ideal mix for ACT and, therefore, we are confident that the MACH exhibition will pay for itself in virtually no time," Mr Wieland concluded.
