MACH 2010 - DMG to exhibit machining centres and lathes

1 min read

DMG (UK) will join forces with Siemens and Hexagon Metrology to organise a daily prize draw for two tickets to the British Grand Prix at MACH 2010.

On the stand (5410) will be the DMC 635 V eco with Heidenhain control, which is an entry-level vertical machining centre having a working volume of 635 by 510 by 460 mm, and an 8,000 rpm spindle with 82 Nm torque. Joining it will be the DMU80P duoBLOCK 5-axis machining centre that has 800 mm of travel in X, Y and Z, with 60 m/min rapid traverse in all axes. Chip-to-chip times of up to 4.5 seconds between tool changes ensures short idle times and high productivity. The DMU60 monoBLOCK with Siemens control, which has 3 axes in the standard version, with optional 3+2, 4 or 5 axes, is particularly suited for 5-sided machining and simultaneous 5-axis machining. The vertical spindle, fully interpolative 5-axis machining centre, DMU50 will also be on the stand. It boasts a table that has X, Y and Z travels of 500, 450 and 400 mm. The 4th and 5th axes are provided by a 360° rotary table carried on a vertically mounted unit that swivels from - 5° to +110°, enabling undercuts up to 20° to be machined. Also on display are the 3-axis universal CNC lathe, CTX 310 eco V3, with hollow clamping for 51 mm diameter bar as well as chucking up to 200 mm diameter and the CTX Beta 1250 TC universal lathe, with maximum component dimensions of 390 mm diameter by 1,250 mm long.
