Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking is to be the headline sponsor of Britain's biggest manufacturing technologies exhibition, MACH 2014.

The sponsorship underscores the long-term relationship between Lloyds Bank and the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA), organiser of the biennial MACH exhibition. Said Graham Dewhurst, director general of the MTA: "The MTA is delighted to welcome Lloyds Bank once again as headline sponsors for MACH. The MTA has been working with Lloyds Bank across a number of industry initiatives in recent years, and Lloyds' participation in MACH 2014 is the latest example of the Bank's commitment to the manufacturing technologies sector." MACH 2014 will be the second MACH event for which Lloyds Bank has been the headline sponsor. Richard Holden, head of manufacturing SME Banking at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, added: "The manufacturing industry is crucial to the continued resurgence of the British economy, and Lloyds Bank is committed to supporting firms with the funding and guidance they need to grow, secure new contracts and generate local job opportunities. "We have delivered over £1 billion of lending to more than 2,500 manufacturing firms in the UK through our national Manufacturing Commitment, beating our initial funding target three months ahead of schedule. MACH 2014 is a fantastic platform for manufacturers to showcase the latest industry developments and find the tools to overcome sector challenges, and Lloyds Bank is delighted to support the exhibition once again." MACH 2014, to be held 7-11 April at the NEC Birmingham, will see over 500 exhibitors showing the very latest in manufacturing technologies, with over 6,000 tonnes of machinery being demonstrated under power. It's the only place in the UK to see such a wide range of technology under one roof. Lloyds Bank will be contributing to a lively MACH seminar programme, joining, amongst others, Rolls-Royce, Airbus and Messier-Bugatti-Dowty.
