Product data provider MachiningCloud and high speed steel, cobalt and carbide cutting tools manufacturer Keo Cutters have partnered to provide Keo product data on the Cloud.

Through MachiningCloud, Keo will be able to provide customers with the digital product data needed to run today’s data-hungry shop. The partnership will simplify the process of finding the right cutting tools for customers’ manufacturing jobs, as they will have direct access to current and complete tooling data without the hassle of searching through printed catalogs and multiple websites to find tooling.

Keo customers will also be able to easily download descriptive, usage and geometric information directly into their shop floor software, such as CAM, simulation, and tool management systems.

Explains Brian Ayers, vice president of sales & marketing at ARCH Global Precision, of which Keo Cutters is a division: “KEO Cutters continually strives to be the most cost-effective cutting tool solution for our end users. The KEO Cutters / MachiningCloud partnership leverages cutting-edge technology to showcase our entire product offering to customers and provides engineers an efficient tool selection platform to optimize technical information gathering specific to their applications.

“The ability for Cloud downloading of data directly to simulation, CAM, and other shop floor software increases accuracy and productivity. These new innovations and partnerships are what’s kept KEO Cutters as a dominate brand in the cutting tool industry for over 70 years.”

MachiningCloud and GARR TOOL, a manufacturer of high performance solid carbide cutting tools, have also announced a partnership to provide GARR TOOL product data on the Cloud.

The partnership will also simplify the process of finding the right cutting tools for GARR TOOL customers’ manufacturing jobs, as they too will have direct access to current and complete tooling data without the hassle of catalogs and multiple websites. GARR TOOL customers will also be able to download descriptive, usage and geometric information directly into their shop floor software.

Says GARR TOOL vice president Jeff Leppien: “Since 1944, GARR TOOL has been and remains committed to the best possible customer service. As our customers and the industry move more and more toward the digital space of Industry 4.0, we at GARR TOOL will continue to innovate and leverage new technologies to improve our customer experience.”
