Kennametal hole-making product catalogue introduces many new tools

1 min read

Kennametal has published a new holemaking tool catalogue.

The 800-page publication introduces a total of more than 3,000 new items. Highlights in the new catalogue include solid-carbide extra-long-length drills up to 30 times diameter as stocked standard products, the "unparalleled" HPLM geometry for stainless steel for KSEM and KenTIP, as well as the new HPCM geometry for cast iron. New high-speed solid-carbide taps for untempered steel, cast iron and nonferrous metals set standards in speed and tool life. Fine machining of drill-holes comprises a program of fine-spindle tools, such as ModBORE and ROMICRON, while there’s a completely revised high-performance reaming program, including the new, easy-to-adjust and highly economic single-edge reamers RIR and RIQ. In addition to new products, user-friendliness has been enhanced. It is now possible, for example, to select suitable geometry and the associated cutting values at a glance. Another new feature greatly eases the search for the "best tool" for a corresponding material group.
