Kasto on the move

All e-mail details remain the same, including the general sales and service contact: sales@kasto.uk.com Ernst Wagner, managing director, says that the new building is similar in size to the old premises in Southampton but much closer to its main customer base, which is to a large degree located north of the M4 motorway. Many of its aerospace customers, as well as Kasto users in the offshore, automotive and construction sectors, are also to be found dotted around from south to north, and a more central location is advantageous. "In December 2002, our German parent company took over its former UK agent, Rivers Machinery, and contractually inherited the Southampton premises", said Mr Wagner. "Southampton was never an ideal location for our headquarters, whereas Milton Keynes is central and offers many advantages including a direct M1/A5 link from junction 14. "Some of our customers will, furthermore, benefit from the shorter travel distances of our service engineers, who are based around Milton Keynes in particular." To mark the relocation to the new premises, KASTO will hold an Open House exhibition on 11 and 12 November 2009. Three high-performance sawing machines will be on display under power, from top-end carbide bandsaws and circular saws to workshop models for moderate to occasional use. Circular saws from Italian principal, FOM Industrie, will also feature. Representative of the company's range of CNC vertical storage systems for raw material, both long stock and sheet, will be a 6 m high Unitower C3.0 sheet format storage tower, which is being used to manage the spares and consumables for the company.
