Kasto adds three new employees following order growth and new product launch

The continuing buoyancy of the manufacturing and stockholding sectors in the UK, together with the successful development of the German-built Kasto range of sawing and automated warehousing products, has encouraged the firm’s Milton Keynes subsidiary to employ three new members of staff.

To strengthen after-sales support, two service engineers have been recruited. Nottingham-based Stephen Frost started mid-December 2014 and Mick Thorpe, operating from Rotherham, will join in April 2015. In addition, a new sales engineer, Nikki-lee Ormerod, will also start in April. Based in Barnoldswick, he will be another useful point of contact for Kasto customers in the north of England.

Driving the extra recruitment are substantial orders in the past year for Kasto automated storage and retrieval systems, where Britain lags behind many other first-world countries.

Another factor is the success of the Kastowin range of automatic production bandsaws, introduced last year, that are suitable for processing a variety of materials, especially steels, in both stockholding and manufacturing.
