Five machines were sold during Hurco's recent celebratory Open House event.

As part of its activities to mark 25 years of trading in the UK, Hurco Europe held an Open House at its High Wycombe showroom this month with five machine sales resulting. All were for vertical machining centres, including the new VMX60 model (pictured) being launched at the show. It will go to a sub-contractor in South Wales - already a a happy TM10 CNC lathe user. Of the other machine sales at the show, two were to customers new to Hurco. There was also considerable interest in the 25th anniversary promotion of 25 months’ interest-free credit on all Hurco machines ordered at the Open House and for the remainder of 2007. During the show, Hurco Europe announced record half-year results in 2006/7. Sales of its machine tools in the UK have increased at a rate of more than 20 per cent year on year since 2002. “This looks like a trend set to continue,” said managing director, David Waghorn. “It is an exciting time to be part of Hurco. Sales are growing in all of our major markets, but most pleasing is that the company continues to invest in product development. As a result, we will continue to see a large number of new machines from Hurco over the coming months.”
