Hurco announces December open house

Hurco’s annual Christmas open house exhibition will be held this year at its High Wycombe showroom on Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 December 2023 from 9am to 5pm each day. Lunch will be provided, as well as refreshments throughout the event.

In addition to a showroom full of new Hurco CNC machine tools under power and cutting metal, there is the added attraction that many of Hurco’s primary suppliers will be in attendance. Pre-registration is at www.hurco.co.uk

This year, as many as 20 specialist companies will have their own small stand offering tooling, workholding, CADCAM, metrology, automation, mist extraction, rotary tables, angle heads, coolant and lubrication, probing and machine tool finance. This gives existing Hurco users and potential customers the opportunity to discuss ancillary equipment in a relaxed and informed environment.

Hurco’s own ProCobot in-house, plug-and-play automation systems for component handling will take centre stage at this year’s show. It is now a popular and established product range, with successful installations throughout the UK. The main advantage that ProCobots have over other automation solutions is ease of use.

A simple app appears on the Hurco WinMax control screen and only minimal information needs to be entered to set a job. Changeover time can be as rapid as 30 minutes, making small batch automation a reality. There is also the reassurance that the ProCobot is supported by the same people supporting the machine tool.

There will be four different 5-axis machining centres on show, including the trunnion-type VMX30UDi-60ATC to emphasise large tool magazine capacity. The 60-station option is now available on the SRTi range of swivelling spindle head machines as well. In addition, there will be a pair of Hurco CNC turning centres, including the TMX10MYSi driven-tool lathe with Y-axis and sub-spindle.

As ever, the majority of the show will comprise cutting demonstrations on six models from Hurco’s best-selling 3-axis CNC vertical machining centre programme. Sizes ranging from the compact, entry-level VM One to the powerful VMX60i with travels of 1,680 mm in X and 660 mm in Y and a 12,000 rpm, 40-taper spindle.

There are a number of ex-demo deals and offers being created especially for the show. They include a tooling package worth £8,750, supplied free-of-charge with every TM8Mi turning centre ordered before the end of 2023; and a 20% discount off the VMX42UDi-40ATC direct-drive, 15,000 rpm, trunnion-type 5-axis VMC.

Although the Government’s super-deduction scheme is no longer available, 100% allowance means that huge savings can still be made on this year’s tax bill by profitable limited companies. For further information and detailed examples, visit www.hurco.com/gb/about-hurco/Pages/Finance.aspx
