Hexagon Metrology UK has officially opened a new precision centre in Milton Keynes, as part of its ongoing multi-million pound investment programme.
The new site at Tongwell offers a wide range of service and repair facilities, which include a rare 40 m purpose-built rail for recalibrating laser trackers.
The centre is designed to provide customers in the south of England with faster service turnaround times and improved after-sales support.
As well as being more than twice the size of its previous premises, the facility also features a modern training room, equipped with Hexagon Metrology co-ordinate measuring machines, product demonstration area and conference rooms.
The company recently hosted a series of open days to showcase its latest resource and organised a variety of workshops on measurement technology topics including laser scanning and multiple sensor measurement.
The Milton Keynes site complements Hexagon Metrology's new precision centre in Chester and its sub-contract inspection and measurement facilities at Telford.
