Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence event in Rotherham to highlight how quality can drive productivity

A metrology event at the Nuclear AMRC, Rotherham, held from September 14-15 and hosted by Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, will showcase an offline robot cell, designed to automatically measure sheet metal parts in the most challenging shopfloor conditions.

The WLS400A white light scanning system is one of nine product demonstrations across the two days that will see the same format followed on both dates. That format takes in guest speakers from Red Bull Racing and the National Physical Laboratory who will, respectively, talk about time compression technology and 3D optical scanner measurement.

With a broad focus on applications for the aerospace, automotive and general industry sectors, the event will also highlight the inspection and reverse engineering capabilities of Hexagon's RA7730SE, the company’s most accurate Romer Absolute portable measuring arm, and the HP-L-20.8 scanner.

Other products on display are set to include the Leica Absolute Tracker AT960 and Leica Absolute Scanner LAS-20-8, the latest large volume, high accuracy mobile scanning solution for automotive and aeropace component inspection tasks.

“This forum is a fantastic opportunity to keep up to date with highly innovative scanning and automated metrology solutions, as well as learn more about how quality can drive productivity,” explains Steve Shickell, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence's regional sales manager.
