Group Rhodes' Mark Ridgway honoured in Queen's Birthday Honours list

Mark Ridgway, managing director of Group Rhodes, has been received an OBE in the Queen's 2011 Birthday Honours list, published last week, in recognition of his services to Industry .

Headquartered in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, Group Rhodes describes itself as one of Europe's largest original equipment manufacturers in its field, supplying an extensive range of machinery for metalforming, material handling, waste management, clay preparation, concrete working and special-purpose applications. The main divisions of the Group comprises Joseph Rhodes, Beauford Engineers, Rhodes Interform, Rhodes Environmental and Craven Fawcett. Last year, Joseph Rhodes picked up a Queen's Award for Enterprise, in the Innovation category, in recognition of its continuous development of Super Plastic Forming and Diffusion Bonding Presses (SPF/DB). These machines are specifically designed for the high temperature forming of titanium and aluminium alloys, primarily used in the aerospace and automotive industry. Through a series of innovations, Joseph Rhodes has become a world leader in this technology.
