Grenville Engineering invests in laser profiling

Sheet metal fabricator Grenville Engineering (Stoke-on Trent) has invested £500,000 in a Bystronic BySprint 3015 fibre laser profiler, joining two other Trumpf 3030 laser profilers. That investment is supplemented by two CNC pressbrakes expected to be installed in December 2016.

Joint managing director Tony Fryer says that the purchase was made to enhance the company’s position in an increasingly competitive market of sheet metal fabrications. He adds that the machine “will boost productivity to meet the demands of a current loyal and growing customer base, ensuring competitiveness along with sustained quality and service.”

The 56-employee company is expected to reach a £4 million turnover by the end of 2016. Further growth is predicted to achieve turnover in the region of £5-£6 million in the next three years. Services offered include design and prototyping, metalcutting, machining, drilling, pressing and forming, welding, assembly, grinding, deburring, final assembly and delivery.
