Now, the Oldham-based family run business has appointed Joe Bricknell as the new area sales representative to bolster the sales operation for this popular brand of machine tools.
Joining the company just before the turn of the year, he will be responsible for growing sales of the Victor brand of machine tools that are well established in the UK with a customer base that is smitten by the reliability, stability, rigidity and build quality of the brand.
Bricknell started his career as a mechanical engineering apprentice, then going into a direct production role setting various types of CNC machine tools from some of the world’s most recognised brands. Taking the next step in his career, he joined a Midlands-based machine tool company as a regional sales engineer.
Earning his spurs by selling a diverse range of machine tools and brands, Joe has jumped at the opportunity to join GM CNC and sell the most robust machine tools in the industry.
Bricknell said: “I’m thrilled to be joining GM CNC Ltd. GM CNC is a family business that has an exceptional reputation for its customer service and support. To support the UK manufacturing industry for more than 30 years with thousands of machine tool sales and installations, and to be held in such high regard by UK manufacturers is testament to the family ethos of the business.”
“From a machine tool perspective, the opportunity to drive the Victor brand of machines is brilliant considering I was already so familiar with the brand, having visited so many engineering companies in my previous role that were so happy with Victor machines.
"The Victor range is extremely extensive with everything from small-footprint CNC lathes and long bed multi-tasking turning centres through to vertical turning centres, vertical and horizontal machining centres, multitasking machines, 5-axis machines and much more.
"There is quite literally a machine to suit every type of manufacturer with a price to performance ratio that is beyond compare and this is a factor in why we are so busy with enquiries and sales at present.”
GM CNC Ltd sales & marketing director Nicola Howard, said: “Sales of the Victor brand is growing rapidly as more manufacturers become aware of the astounding build quality, capabilities, performance and longevity of the machines.
"To underpin our ambitions for growing the UK footprint of these machines, we are increasing our stock and demonstration machines, we are investing in a new showroom and we have also opened an on-line Victor spares shop.
"This gives hundreds of existing Victor customers access to a portal that will provide everything they need to keep their spindles running. Of course, this new website will be fully supported by our team of service engineers and the arrival of Joe. Joe joins our company at an exciting time and we wish him the very best in his journey as part of the GM CNC family.”
