GF AgieCharmilles will hold an Open House at its Coventry facility in February 2008.
Called Head Start, the Open House will be held on 6-7 February and will feature a number of new EDM and milling machines launched by the company at EMO last September.
"Not everyone can get over to EMO – so it makes sense to bring the best of EMO over to the UK," said Steve Sylvester, UK managing director at GF AgieCharmilles. "Our Head Start Open House will allow customers and prospects to see, for the first time in the UK, the very latest EDM and milling technology that took visitors to EMO by storm."
New entry-level wire and sink EDM machines that include the CUT 20 and FORM 30 will be put through their paces – and advanced EDM machining solutions will be represented by the high speed F0 350 S solid sink machine and high-performance AC Progress V2 wire machine.
On the milling side customers can get up close and personal to high-speed and high performance 3- and 5-axis machines, with the UCP 600 Vario ‘production-oriented’ 5-axis machine equipped with integrated automatic pallet change capability, bound to draw in the crowds.
"There have been a lot of developments in and across GF AgieCharmilles over the last few months – new machines, new colour schemes and new machine livery, new people – and, the launch of a new customer loyalty programme that will spearhead our consumables, spares and service business," Mr Sylvester added. "The Open House provides an ideal opportunity for customers to get themselves up to speed with these developments and to give themselves a head start in 2008."
