At MACH, Floyd will demonstrate the Schaublin SRS system for tool-grinding machines using W or B type draw type collets.
Also on show for manufacturers in the grinding arena will be the patent-pending PR25 quick-change collet system. Suitable for clamping drills, end mills, reamers and other cutting tools, the quick-change PR25 is pitched at cutting-tool manufacturers in a production environment where a lot of collet changeovers are required. Using the PR25, no ‘on-machine’ changes are necessary, delivering minimal run-out and low-wear characteristics.
Complementing the SRS and PR25 quick-change heads, Floyd Automatic will exhibit the Schaublin series of HSK A, HSK C and HSK E tool holders, which are designed for use on high-speed machining and grinding centres, transfer machines and other high-end machine tools.
In addition, the company will display a diverse range of quick-release clamping heads for axial draw-back collet chucks. These serrated clamping heads offer easy set-up with high rigidity levels and clamping forces, says Floyd. For more sensitive components, precision polished clamping heads are available for use on conventional and CNC turning centres.
Floyd Automatic Tooling will be present at MACH on Stand 472 in Hall 20. The stand will include live demonstrations using machines provided by Star Micronics, Tornos and Citizen Machinery.
