FICEP unveils expanded facilities at Italian HQ

1 min read

FICEP has recently invested heavily in its manufacturing facility at its Italian headquarters, in Gazzada Schianno, with the building of a new 2,000 sq m showroom, which houses 10 medium to large fully operational CNC machines, and associated materials handling systems, and the creation of the FICEP Academy.

Customers can now see how each machine can produce a selection of their own workpieces, which may be angular or flat profiles, plates, beams or tubes that have been punched, drilled, marked, scribed, milled, shotblasted, thermally cut (plasma and oxygen ) or sheared – all the way through from the drawing office to the final production of the component. FICEP technical personnel will be able to advise how best to integrate a machine into an existing production facility to maximise production output and minimise production costs, or to create a completely new highly efficient manufacturing facility. Special software is available that can simulate the operations of a whole factory or separate production facility to model the production process to achieve the highest possible efficiency. The FICEP Academy is a state-of-the-art training facility and technology centre with new modern suites of training and conference rooms where customers can benefit from technical workshops and specialised forums. Experts in their field from FICEP and throughout the world will present detailed seminars about the latest technological and production solutions applicable to a specific industry sector and in the customers language of choice. With this major investment and a turnover of €110 million in 2011, of which 90% derived from export, the new facilities in Italy have now become the centre of excellence for FICEP customers from around the world.
