Ficep bags £3 million-plus order haul as industry looks to invest

Ficep reports that, within the last three months, it has secured orders valued at more than £3 million for its CNC machine tools, with more orders in the pipeline.

Customers for Ficep technology range from steel stockholders to structural steel companies who have bought automatic drilling and sawing lines, shearing and punching machines, CNC machines for processing angles and flats and magnetic lifting equipment. All these companies are seeing encouraging increases in orders that look to be maintained in the foreseeable future, says the company. Mark Jones, managing director of Ficep UK, says: "In all my many years of experience in this industry, I have never known tougher times than over the last three or more years, but recent trends have given me hope that we are at the start of a sustained and healthy economic recovery. "Sales of our range of CNC steel processing machines have been buoyant over the last three months and future prospects look good. The steel industry deserves some good news after many good, long-standing and respected companies have fallen by the wayside. Let's hope that this is the start of some well-deserved increased prosperity for our customers and the industry sector as a whole."
