Faro low-cost laser scanner
Faro has released the LS 420; a new, low-cost version of its popular Laser Scanner product line.
The new Laser Scanner LS 420 is introductory priced at £37,900 and has a range of 20 m. Like its long-range predecessors, 35 m and 70 m ranges, it is a high-speed, phase-shift based scanning device with +/-3 mm accuracy in averaging mode.
“The Scanner is more accurate than most competitors, and up to 100 times faster than time-of-flight scanners,” FARO president and co-CEO Jay Freeland said. “The combination of the 420’s capabilities and low price make the Faro Laser Scanner LS the most cost-effective device in its segment.”
