ES Technology is now exclusive distributor for Concept Laser’s additive manufacturing systems.

ES Technology will be responsible for the marketing, sales, servicing and support of the full range of Concept Laser products throughout the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. Selective Laser Melting or LaserCUSING - the later a phrase coined by Concept Laser from the combination of the words Concept and Fusing - is a process which involves the fusion of a metallic powder by a scanning laser to produce complex and intricate 3D components. Concept Laser GmbH has structured its range of systems to provide easy access to the world of LaserCUSING. The entry level M1 system is aimed at die casters, toolmakers, contract manufacturers and model makers. Capable of producing complex 3D components in a range of hot work steels, inconel and stainless steel, the system has a work envelope of 120 by 120 by 200 mm. Laser processing takes place in an atmosphere controlled area within the machine and the system is capable of producing layer thicknesses of between 20µ and 80µ. The semi- automated powder handling system incorporated within the machine keeps operator contact with the powder to a minimum, and the finished components are presented to the operator at the separate preparation and handling station. Based upon the proven principals of the M1 system, the M2 LaserCUSING system produces parts not only in hot work steels, inconel and stainless steel but also in aluminium and titanium. Unlike steel powders, aluminium and titanium alloys react with oxygen, and therefore need to be stored and handled in a controlled atmosphere. The M2 system provides Nitrogen or Argon based inert atmospheres together with a series of sensors and measurement systems which meet all current explosion and fire protection regulations. The M2 LaserCUSING system (pictured) provides a work envelope of 250 by 250 by 280 mm and can produce layers of between 20 µ and 50 µ. A further model, M3, Linear encompasses all of the benefits of the LaserCUSING process but also provides the flexibility to perform additional laser erosion and marking processes, providing further opportunities to keep the system productive at all times. ES Technology already offered sub-contract laser marking services; laser and optical components; after sales service; design and manufacture of laser marking systems.
