Environmentally friendly filtration at MACH 2014 from Air Cleaning Systems

On Stand 5245, Hall 5 at MACH 2014 (Birmingham NEC, 7-11 April), ACS (Air Cleaning Systems) will exhibit equipment to reflect the two halves of the business, with industrial air cleaners for coolant mist control and downdraught filter benches for dust control.

With regard to its industrial air cleaners for coolant mist control, the range will be represented by the OMF1000. This air cleaner is a free-standing unit designed to connect directly to a machine tool via a non-leak duct system. By employing this system, ACS says that customers can achieve energy savings through the small motors which achieve maximum filtration capacity. It should be noted that ACS conducts a full installation service which provides the electrical interface between the air cleaner and the machine tool. Furthermore, the OMF1000 has an automatic power-down function after a pre-programmed time interval to ensure the unit only runs when needed. Maintenance costs are said to be reduced as the OMF range of air cleaners require no service contract, replacement gaskets, seals or service kits. The pre-filters are washable and the filter gauges provide a real-time indication of remaining filter life. From the downdraught filter bench range for dust control, ACS will be exhibiting its FBS model. The company says that this downdraught filter bench is a seated model which provides an ergonomic and practical solution to the problem of controlling and removing airborne dust (or fumes) generated by fettling, sanding, deburring, polishing or finishing applications. ACS also manufactures a subsidiary dust control range of downdraught filter benches for solvent and gluing applications. Like the OMF range, the reduced energy consumption and environmental credentials of the FBS are achieved by supplying an inverter control that is fitted as standard to regulate the fan speed and guarantee low power consumption. Again, the FBS can incorporate an optional automatic power-down function after a pre-programmed time interval. Also available is an optional air control unit that enables the operator to work with air-powered tools featuring automatic power-down that triggers when air tools are not being used.
