The Electrode Plus service, for both copper and graphite electrodes, is aimed at those manufacturers in the UK and Ireland that either currently sub-contract their electrode design and manufacturing or that, due to a lack of capacity, technology or skills, are unable to manufacture their electrodes in-house. To ensure that these key criteria are met, Electrode Plus employs the very latest machine tools that include high speed milling machines, 5-axis machining centres, multi-axis mill-turn centres and high-performance lathes and turning centres. These are supported by advanced inspection equipment and powerful CADCAM programmes and 3D software.
