Dugard sales rocket by almost half in two years

In two years, sales for C Dugard have rocketed by more than 45 per cent to reach over £16 million.

The figures is as a result of installations both in the UK and the successful international export and used equipment sourcing network set up from the company's Hove headquarters in Sussex. The company's international credentials were recognised by Hyundai-Kia which recently appointed C Dugard to represent its machine tool range in Russia. In addition, as a result of You Ji of Taiwan, requesting C Dugard to represent its vertical turning centre range (pictured) in some overseas markets as well as in the UK, this has resulted in a five-machine contract being secured. The machines, with table sizes between 1,200 mm and 2,000 mm, were shipped directly to customers overseas. C Dugard has also obtained, what managing director Eric Dugard describes as ‘Big Ticket’ sales with the Hedelius and Edel ranges of 5-axis machining centres in the UK, with these projects involving extensive application engineering support. The company’s own Dugard Eagle range of lathes and machining centres has also been successful. With the Dugard Eagle and Hyundai-Kia range of some 78 horizontal and vertical lathes, mill-turn centres and machining centres are on offer, the company's overseas network of contacts for used machinery supports good trade-in deals for customers against these.
