Dormer catalogue and app developments show off expanded range

Dormer's just-released 2015 rotary tooling catalogue features more than 450 products, including more than 40 new solid carbide cutters, a range of material-specific taps branded 'Shark Line' and a deep hole option to its MP-X drilling family. Digital flip-book and downloadable pdf versions are also available, while a new phone app is additionally offered.
Of the 560-page catalogue - 70,000 copies of which have been printed in 21 different languages - Simon Winstanley, marketing manager, says: "This latest version of our catalogue continues a long Dormer tradition of producing practical, helpful support material.
"We have, over many decades, established a global reputation for understanding and meeting the diverse information requirements of customers with our Product Selector software, various training packages, technical handbooks, data wall charts and, more recently, our range of apps. All allow us to share our knowledge in a versatile and accessible way. The 2015 Dormer catalogue continues this practice."
Acting on feedback, numerous new features have been incorporated to help customers access and use the required information as easily as possible. These include updated product description icons, a new materials guide and an improved technical section.
In addition to its catalogue, Dormer has launched a new Tool Box app for use on smartphones and tablets. The app is an update to its current Thread Size Calculator and includes a range of additional accessories to support general office or workshop tasks. New features include a caliper, spirit level, decibel meter, dimension converter and multiple language options, in addition to an improved thread size calculator option.
