MACH 2012 opens its doors today at Birmingham's NEC and exhibitor Delcam highlights that it is working with 50 partner organisations at the show.

These include many of the world's leading providers of machine tools, cutting tools and inspection equipment. "Companies looking to invest in CAM software are often worried whether the toolpaths generated will work as well on the machine tool as they do on the computer," comments Delcam's marketing manager, Peter Dickin. "Our close relationships with machine tool, cutting tool and metrology companies mean that customers can gain the maximum benefit from our software on a wide range of equipment." Delcam announced record sales and profits in 2011 and is expecting a further boost to its business at MACH. "Our customers in the automotive and aerospace industries seem to be very busy currently," offers Mr Dickin. "As a result, we are seeing more enquiries from companies that want to add extra seats of software. "Despite the better economic conditions, subcontractors still need to increase their productivity, shorten lead times and improve their quality, if they are to take full advantage," he adds. "More and more companies are realising that they can meet these objectives by upgrading their machining or inspection software with a Delcam system."
