Delcam wins Asian accolade

Delcam was presented with the Best CAM Systems Provider Award at the Asian Manufacturing Awards, organised by Contineo Media, publisher of Control Engineering Asia and a number of other regional B2B titles, and held at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Singapore in August.
The citation for Delcam recognised that the company has long been known for its CAM products and expertise.
"As countries in the region evolve away from low-skill, low-cost production, it is the ability to implement high technology systems and to run effective and intelligent operations that will increasingly be the determinants of manufacturing success through the rest of this decade," claimed Contineo Media CEO Raymond Wong in his keynote address at the awards ceremony. "It is companies such as the ones recognised here tonight, including Delcam, that regional manufacturers are relying on in order to ramp up productivity, boost quality, increase service levels, meet stringent regulatory requirements, and help become environmentally responsible members of their communities."
Added Bob Gill, editor-in-chief, Contineo Media: "Delcam is highly active in Asia, with a number of successful subsidiaries and long-term sales partners. The company held its annual Asian Technical Summit in Bangkok recently, where it announced its 45,000th customer – PT Astra Honda Motor of Indonesia."
