CMZ has appointed Richard Eales (pictured below) as its new UK service manager – and he will be charge of managing and coordinating the country’s technical support team as it continues its upward growth trajectory in the UK.

The lathe manufacturer said that one of Richard’s main objectives is to “improve the support service offering personalised, customer-friendly attention”.

CMZ notes that “high market demand” led it to strengthen its technical support service at CMZ UK by reinforcing its network of qualified technicians and the appointment of Richard Eales as the new service manager, who will be responsible for ensuring a quality after-sales service.

CMZ also reports that in the 2023 financial year, it exceeded all the forecasts achieving a turnover of €110m, with 549 machines delivered and an average of 2.52 lathes delivered per day.

The lathe manufacturer, headquartered in the Basque region of Spain, noted that this “historic milestone” means it has beaten all the goals set by the 2021-2023 strategic plan and the 2023 result was 10% more than it forecasted, as it was aiming for €100m.

In terms of turnover, 25% of CMZ's business is done in Spain, with 68% in the rest of Europe and 7% in other countries around the world.
