Change at the top of Trumpf 's machine tool business

Trumpf's machine tool business division has seen a change in leadership with Stephen Mayer becoming the new CEO of machine tools succeeding Heinz-Jürgen Prokop, who left at the end of the fiscal year on 30 June, 2021, after reaching the age limit for members of the group executive board.

Mayer has been with Trumpf since 2012, initially as head of the organizational development and production and quality management central departments.

Since 2019, he has been responsible as the company's president of business in China, where he was responsible for all Trumpf activities in China and managed the two locations in Taicang/Jiangsu and Jinfangyuan CNC Machine Co., Ltd. (JFY) in Yangzhou.

Meanwhile, Marcella Montelatici has been the managing director for sales and services in the machine tool business division at Trumpf since 1 April, 2021 and also manages the firm's European subsidiaries.

Montelatici succeeds Reinhold Groß, who had held the position since 2014 and is responsible for the sale of machines, services, software, digitization solutions and consulting on all aspects of networked manufacturing.
