CGTech UK has appointed its first apprentice as part of the UK Technical Support team.

Will Culliford (pictured right) started his role as Apprentice Technical Support Engineer at the beginning of September after initially completing a six-week work experience placement last year. During his work experience, based at the CGTech office in Berkeley Gloucestershire, Will completed all Vericut training courses and helped with beta testing the next Vericut release.

As part of his apprenticeship, he will be attending Gloucestershire Engineering Training College (GET) on a full-time basis for the first academic year and then dividing his time between college and office-based learning in the latter stages of the course.

Comments Culliford: “I really enjoyed working with Vericut and the CGTech team during my work experience placement and I am looking forward to learning more about the software and developing my engineering knowledge.”

Gavin Powell, CGTech Ltd technical director, adds: “Having an apprentice engineer is an exciting and positive step for CGTech UK. By supporting the next generation of engineers, we are committed to investing in the future of our industry.”
