MacInnes Tooling of Helensburgh has been appointed UK representative for the central coolant systems manufactured by Accustrip of Denmark.
A relatively young company, Accustrip has grown rapidly to become one of Europe leading manufacturers of central coolant systems. Bluechip customers include, Rolls- Royce, B & O, Danfoss, Volvo and Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace.
Standard full flow systems are available with capacities from 500 to 9,200 litres per minute, and flow for flow Accustrip’s systems occupy a fraction of the floor space of a traditional system.
At the heart of its systems is Accustrip’s patented oil separating system; unlike traditional units this does not require the fluid to remain static while tramp oil is being removed from the coolant. On the contrary, coolant is continually on the move, which makes life very difficult for bacteria and fungus to grow.
The usual paper band filter in combination with a cartridge filter system carries out solids removal, but a self-cleaning system operates. The multi cartridge filter always has one cartridge undergoing an automatic cleaning cycle. When this is clean it connects to the system and another drops out to undergo cleaning. No operator intervention is required.
Machine tools connected to an Accustrip system can retain their own coolant pumps or these can be removed and the main system programmed to feed coolant directly to the tools.
In addition to the central systems Accustrip offers stand alone paper band filters, tramp oil removal machines, magnetic separators and high pressure pumping units.
