C Dugard sets out to make spares selection easier

C Dugard is making spares selection easier by providing a growing list of parts, accompanies by images, at its website.

Says the company: "Although the spare parts we sell can have a lot of variables, thankfully certain spares are really straight forward, so we've decided to start a list - if you see anything you need, just click on the email address and let us know what machine it's for, your name, company and contact number as well as the address you'd like the part delivered to." The company explains that it has been trying to work out a way to offer online spares ordering, but that, due to the variety of machines it sells and the high number of related spares, it has not yet identified the best approach, so will be staying with person-to-person contact for a little bit longer. The Dugard spares and accessories department covers 2,000 sq ft, spread out over three floors to store all the things the company gets get asked for on a daily basis, it underlines. The best way to make sure customers get the right part, as quickly as possible, is to call and ask for the spares department (01273 732286) or email spares@dugard.com. "We'll need a few basic details - machine name, make, control type, serial number, if you've got it - as well as what's actually gone wrong," explains the company. And if customers can't identify the part, then an image emailed to spares@dugard.com will usually provide the clue. But as the list of standard parts is set to grow, the company asks that customers check the site every now and then, as it will be adding to the list – "so everything should get just a little bit easier".
