Bystronic Open Houses demo new fibre laser and bending technology

2 mins read

Bystronic UK will hold a series of Spring seminars and product launches at its Coventry showroom and headquarters (Junction 3, M6 motorway, North Coventry).

There'll be the launch of the BySprint Fiber fibre laser on Wednesday, 15 March and Thursday, 16 March, with a 'Bending Solutions Seminar' to be held on Thursday, 24 March. Bystronic's fiber laser machine, BySprint Fibe is based on the successful BySprint Pro and is equipped with the Fiber 2000 fiber laser. The main benefits of the Fiber Laser source are a reduction of electric power consumption of between 50% to 66%, compared with other laser machines, no routine servicing of the laser power source, and increased cutting speeds, with a quality cut of up to 50 m/min. In the thin sheet metal range, up to 4 mm, in particular, it claims unprecedented parts output, together with the highest precision of the parts. But sheets up to 12 mm thick can also be processed. The bending Open Day will feature onsite demonstration's of the range of Bystronic pressbrake's and tooling options. [] Tooling – practical presentations covering helpful topics and innovations through to the importance of choosing the correct tools [] Efficiency in Design – smart designing techniques to aid the design process when using advanced laser and pressbrake manufacturing techniques [] Material Deviations and How to Overcome them – a presentation on the solutions provided by Bystronic [] A Demonstration of Offline Programming - from the 3D file through to the finished formed part, removing the guesswork from sheet metal and plate product design and manufacturing [] Xpert Pressbrake - the top of the range model, offered with a laser angle measuring system, fast bend plus and an energy saver system that saves more power than electric pressbrakes during the normal mode of start stop operation. The bending cycle is also reduced in time with the energy saver module as the beam return speed is accelerated to twice the normal speed of return. [] Xact Pressbrake - equipped with its Synchro technology, the 'Xact' Pressbrake fulfils the high demands placed on accuracy by Bystronic customers. The hydraulic crowning system and the adaptation of the machine to the numerous requirements of the customer, ensure a high level of flexibility and excellent bending results across the whole spectrum of metal sheet thicknesses. Combined with an excellent price-performance ratio, these characteristics mean extremely economic processing of orders for the individual users. [] Xcel – the new 50 tonne press brake (pictured) - fast in operation, with a small footprint. In reducing the footprint the machine also uses every mm of available capacity. The bed length of 1650mm is also the distance between frames so component lengths are not restricted by the depth of the machines throat. The machine comes complete with euro upper tools quick to change single vee lower dies Laser front guards and a Cybelec CNC 60 control. Contact Caroline Wood caroline.wood@bystronic.com
