Business opportunities worth billions from Fusion and ITER

The Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE) and UK Trade & Investment are jointly organising an event at Culham Science Centre on 23 September 2010, for UK companies to understand the procurement process and opportunities that are arising from the €5 billion construction of the International Tokamak Experimental Reactor (ITER) which is under way at Cadarache, France.

ITER will take 10 years to build and will require conventional and also specialist engineering expertise. Europe's domestic agency for ITER procurement, Fusion for Energy (F4E), has over €800 million to commit this calendar year and several billions over the coming years More information in the events section here.
