Bowers Metrology, the bore gauge manufacturer and precision measuring solution provider, has announced its acquisition of privately held, Baty International, a designer and manufacturer of optical-based measuring instruments and gauging products.

This acquisition will enable Bowers to build on Baty's existing position in the non-contact, vision-based measurement systems market. Steve White, chief executive of the Bowers Metrology Group, said, "Our strategic acquisition of Baty International will further expand Bowers' leadership position in the Metrology marketplace while strengthening our relationship with our customers.
