In reaching its 40th anniversary, Blum-Novotest is forecasting turnover to exceed €32 million in 2008.

Visitors to recent anniversary celebrations were able to see the Germany headquartered company’s new 2,000 m2 manufacturing plant which will support this growth. Chief executive Alex Blum told an assembled audience that in addition to increasing sales the company would increase its workforce by 8 per cent over the next 12 months. “We have the capacity for this expansion with our new manufacturing facility that will accommodate the manufacture of all Blum products and give us increased potential for future development,” he emphasised. “Our scope for future development has already been demonstrated by the introduction of four new systems in the last 12 months. The development of the ‘Shark 360’ measuring mechanism has enabled us to launch systems capable of measuring tolerances down to one tenth of a micron, such as the LaserControl NT-H 3D and the TC53 and TC76 touch probes.” “Our ability to identify the exact needs of a diverse market and deliver ground- breaking technologies that enhance customers’ productivity, accuracies and quality of their work is our priority,” concluded Mr Blum.
