Bermec Precision to receive new machine tool

Precision machining shop Bermec - which is located in the northern Italian town of Talamona near to the Alps - has invested in a new machine tool to drive growth.

The company has acquired a Spinner U1530 5-axis machining centre branded, a German machine tool manufacturer. It will become the fourth 5-axis machining centre within the Bermec machine park.

The new machine will become operational starting from September.

Regarding the dimensions, it can machine and manufacture pieces up to 465x530x400mm, but, most of all, it has the peculiarity of a combined table with automatic alignment system which functions as a vertical machining centre and can arrive at maximum dimensions of 465x530x1530mm.

The Spinner machine also boasts a high-speed spindle for the specific machining of a wide range of alloys, complete equipment and Schunk fast systems of equipment change.

The company said: "This machine tool had been the perfect choice for Bermec in order to manufacture and machine mechanical pieces and plates characterized by great dimensions and complexity.

"Therefore, not only it will widen Bermec productive availability, but it will also implement the possibility of evolving in terms of feasibility of bigger and more elaborated components and, last but not least, it will consist in a great technological upgrade for the company."
