Barrett Steel introduces online enquiry service

1 min read

Steel stockholder Barrett Steel is introducing a new online enquiry service that will allow customers to add products to an online basket, or specify their requirements, and submit an enquiry which will result in an individual quotation and the option to place an order.

The new system will also automatically generate a personalised account that customers can use to track the progress of their enquiry or change their details. "We monitor customer traffic and behaviour on our website constantly, so that we can improve customers' experience and make it easier for them to let us know what they need and want," said Chris Lamb, group marketing co-ordinator. "The latest online enquiry service to the website is just one of the enhancements we have made and will continue to make from customer feedback. It has been designed to save our customers time and hassle when needing a quote, and we hope it will be a huge benefit to them in their businesses." The new online service allows customers to select from various options, including steel stock, processed stock or, alternatively, upload their own file of specifications. The processed stock option will also allow customers to cut steel to size and select how they want the products to be finished. Once the enquiry has been processed, the customer will receive a quote with the option to accept and order or, alternatively, decline. Customers will also be able to manage their enquiry, view their enquiry history and edit their personal details online as required.
