Allfabs buys Mitsubishi laser profiler; is wowed by speed and versatility

West Midlands-based laser profiling subcontractor Allfabs has taken delivery of a new Mitsubishi ML3015LVP-45CF-R laser fitted with Mitsubishi Cross Flow Laser, supplied by World Machinery.

(Video shows laser in action at the launch event) The machine has a capacity of 3,000 by 1,500 and the ability to cut up to 25 mm mild steel, 16 mm stainless, 15 mm aluminium, and 6 mm copper. This is a new venture for Allfabs, according to managing director Mark Duggun. "We looked at several manufacturers, but chose the Mitsubishi, because we thought their laser technology was more advanced than any other makers of fast axial flow lasers, higher capacity than fibre lasers, has 30% low running costs and longer service intervals, plus the machine is 100% made by Mitsubishi. "Their back-up of same-day attendance by factory trained engineers, plus online support (remote technology support) we felt was paramount to assisting us with day to day running of our business." Key to the purchase also was the finance package offered by World Machinery, which allowed Allfabs to buy new, instead of used. Following a video of the Mitsubishi LVPlus11 shown to Mr Duggun by World Machinery, he says he was surprised at how fast and easily the machine can be altered to suit all kinds of materials, with this backed up by a demonstration at World Machinery's, where the claims of speed and quality of cut were equally revealed. Allfabs has also installed Lantek Expert 2 which handles everything from enquiries to production.
