Aberlink Limted has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation 2024.  This is in recognition of the outstanding design innovation and error mapping of the Extol CNC CMM.

Aberlink Limited is one of 252 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise announced on 6 May. Aberlink Limited has been recognised for its excellence in innovation. A total of 257 awards are made with five companies being recognised with two awards.

Employing 44 people, Aberlink Limited was founded in 1993 and is the largest UK-owned manufacturer of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).

Upon receiving the news that Aberlink Limited had been honoured with the King’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation, company owner Marcus Eales said: “It’s a great honour to be recognised with a King's Award for Innovation, it underscores thirty years of constantly pushing to create unique solutions to metrology problems that have applications world-wide.  The Extol CNC CMM is an excellent example of this in practice.”

The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed last year to reflect His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s by recognising outstanding UK businesses.

The award programme, now in its 58th year, is the most prestigious business award in the country, with successful businesses able to use the esteemed King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years.

Applications for King’s Awards for Enterprise 2025 opened on His Majesty The King’s Coronation, 6 May 2024.
