600 Lathes and GE Fanuc celebrate 'pearl' anniversary
600 Lathes, which manufacturers the Colchester-Harrison lathes at its factory in Heckmodwike, West Yorkshire, is celebrating thirty years of partnership with GE Fanuc CNC UK Ltd.
Today GE Fanuc supplies the entire electrical control system as a turnkey solution for Colchester-Harrison Alpha and MultiTurn flat-bed lathes. The customised control cabinets fit directly onto the 600 Lathes’ machines, simplifying machine-build and reducing lead time.
The companies have a joint engineering team to develop and design solutions – a relationship which spreads from shopfloor engineering right through to senior management.
