From 7 to 11 November in Worcester, Yamazaki Mazak is bringing EMO back to the UK with its "EMO Encore" Open House event.

Many of the new machines first exhibited in Hanover will be on display. Taking centre stage will be the new Integrex i-400 ST, a complete redesign of its forerunner the Integrex IV, which boasts a larger working area, linear roller guides for increased accuracy and positioning and increased power in the main and milling spindles. Alongside will be the Variaxis j-500 which can deliver 5-axis machining in a 4+1 configuration that enables users to reduce set-up times and improve productivity, accuracy and to reduce part cost. November's Open House will also feature a new specialist valve body production machine, the Orbitec 20, which is capable of completing a variety of valve features, including the facing of flange surfaces, conical boring of taper holes, face milling, end milling, threading, internal grooving, concave machining and phonographic finishing, all in a single setup. The new Quick Turn Nexus 450-II MY adds a Y-axis to this highly popular large diameter turning centre, along with a Long Boring Bar (capable of boring to a depth of 800 mm), a new design of tailstock and a built-in steady rest. Finally, the Open House will also include the Quick Turn SMART 200 M which is equipped with a milling function and new Robo SMART cell workpiece handling solution that can be seamlessly integrated into existing production environments, enabling users to maximise efficiency with prolonged unmanned running. Tony Saunders, UK sales director for Yamazaki Mazak, commented: "Anyone who didn't manage to attend EMO in Hannover will be able to catch up with all the latest machines we exhibited there by coming to our European Technology Centre in Worcester. Our EMO Encore Open House in November will demonstrate the Power of Mazak through the unrivalled productivity benefits offered by our new machines, which generated enormous interest at the world's premier machine tools exhibition."
