Stemmer Imaging 3D vision event

1 min read

Stemmer Imaging is to host a 3D Machine Vision Technology Day at Mercedes-Benz World, Weybridge, Surrey, on Wednesday, 29 February, as part of its European Imaging Academy Programme.

The full-day event is aimed at providing a comprehensive overview of the current state of 3D machine vision technology, the markets and possible applications. Stemmer Imaging's European Imaging Academy was established in 2011 to provide high quality independent information to those in industry looking to use machine vision. Drawing on the experience gained from delivering training courses containing strong technical content, primarily in Germany and the UK, the European Imaging Academy will now be able to provide industry leading theoretical and practical training in machine vision across Europe. The 3D Technology day takes much of its content from a similar event held in Munich in 2011, where over 110 attended the event. Beginning with an overview of the development of 3D imaging, the event is delivered by leading experts in the field to guarantee interesting presentations as well as providing valuable networking opportunities. Topics will include: • High-speed laser triangulation in industrial applications • Dedicated software algorithms for 3D point clouds • Innovative line lasers for industrial imaging • Fringe light projection with practical examples • 100% surface inspection of parts • Optical 3D measurement systems for checking of form, completeness and surface Presentations will be supported by practical illustrations. Attendance at the 3D Machine Vision Technology Day is limited and costs just £350 + VAT per person. Places can be reserved by contacting Ruth Thompson (r.thompson@stemmer-imaging.co.uk).
