Open House to denmonstrate integrated approach to manufacturing
A two-day technology event at The Engineering Technology Group’s showroom in Southam will give engineering companies the chance to see an integrated approach to manufacturing processes.
Running over 1-2 May the event, entitled ‘From Model to Manufacture’ brings together Engineering Technology Group members with strategic partners Sandvik and Desktop Engineering.
“Visitors will be able to see how we can design, deliver and install a complete manufacturing process from a solid model,” said Richard Blake, managing director of Chiron. “Starting with programming and design in Catia, courtesy of Desktop Engineering, we then move on to manufacturing processes.
“The technology on show will includes 5-axis Chiron machining centres and one-hit machining on Nakamura-Tome twin-spindle, twin-turret turning centres from Turning Technologies, working with the latest cutting tool solutions from Sandvik. Finally, Hyfore provides the work-holding and automation expertise to allow us to bring together the highly-productive turnkey packages that give our customers a competitive edge.”
